Vrushika Mehta, who moved to Canada after getting married, made a trip to Mumbai specifically for Navratri celebrations. The actress from Dil Dosti Dance (D3) emphasized her deep-rooted love for Navratri and garba as a Gujarati tradition. For her, no festivity is complete without these cultural elements. The energetic music of Navratri invigorates her, and she humorously mentions that she can start dancing garba anywhere at any time.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the festival, she mentioned that dressing up, meeting friends, and dancing make her feel thrilled. Although she has spent most of her life in Mumbai, she has been told that the best Navratri experience can be found in Gujarat, which is now on her bucket list. She hopes to visit the state someday to immerse herself in the authentic Navratri vibes.

Recalling her childhood memories of Navratri, Vrushika Mehta reminisced about her competitive spirit to win garba competitions every night. She shared a funny anecdote about how her mom would bribe her with chocolates to sit still while getting ready for the festivities.

When it comes to her preferred Navratri look, she mentioned that she loves wearing flared chaniya cholis but prefers lightweight ones for comfort and graceful spins. For jewelry, she chooses heavier pieces for reels to make a statement, while opting for delicate pieces during dance performances to complement her outfits."I had a strong desire to win every garba competition during my childhood." Recalling her childhood memories of the festival, she reminisces, "My mother would get me dressed up and to make sure I stayed still while she painted three dots on my chin, she would bribe me with chocolates (laughs). I was extremely competitive and was determined to win a prize every night. It was all about dancing with all my heart and feeling like a little star." When discussing her preferred Navratri attire, she mentions, "I adore flared chaniya cholis, but I opt for lightweight ones for comfort and to make my spins appear graceful. As for jewelry, if I'm shooting a reel, I choose something heavy to make a statement. However, if I'm dancing, I opt for delicate pieces that complement my outfit." She eagerly anticipates the opportunity to celebrate Navratri together with her husband, Saurabh. She expresses, "Saurabh loves garba, and his style is quite different from mine, which I would love to learn. Unfortunately, we haven't had the chance to celebrate Navratri together yet. We did get to play garba during my wedding events, which was enjoyable. I am looking forward to the day we can celebrate Navratri together." Vrushika adds, "Spins are definitely my favorite, along with the playful popatiyu. I also enjoy incorporating dodhiyu and trikoniya moves to add variety." When asked about her favorite garba song, she mentions, "Dakla is one of my all-time favorite garba songs because it exudes infectious energy. I am also a huge fan of Falguni Pathak; her songs are iconic and always set the perfect mood for Navratri." Reflecting on her treasured on-set memory of Navratri, Vrushika fondly recalls, "During the filming of Dil Dosti Dance, we had to shoot Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje; it took half a day, and it was incredibly fun! Our D3 gatherings always include garba."
